Established in 1995, O’Neill Strata manages more than 160 buildings and 3,000 lots across Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. The firm combines deep strata management experience with a responsive, hands-on service model for residential and mixed-use properties.
But its existing IT environment was creating risk and complexity. Ageing on-premise file servers remained critical to daily operations, while unmanaged firewall and network infrastructure limited visibility, increased cyber exposure and made proactive performance management difficult.
For a business built around responsive service, O’Neill Strata needed technology that could support its people more reliably – in the office, remotely and offshore.

O’Neill Strata needed to transition away from legacy infrastructure as part of its office relocation. The goal was not simply to move the existing environment into a new location, but to modernise the way the business accessed files, applications and systems.
Nexio Group worked with O’Neill Strata to migrate its on-premise file server to SharePoint Online, creating a more centralised and secure way for staff to access and collaborate on business information.
A key line-of-business application was also migrated to Microsoft Azure, helping reduce reliance on office-based infrastructure and giving the business a more flexible cloud platform for critical operations.

Network switches and access points were refreshed to create a stronger office network, while Azure Virtual Desktop was implemented to support remote and offshore staff through a more consistent and scalable desktop experience.
This helped move the business away from offshore staff relying on remote desktop connections into physical office machines – an approach that had created poor user experience, limited scalability and operational inefficiency.
